Personal Story

I am Conrad Swart, owner of Swart Plastering, and proud to be the third generation in a family of plasterers with more than 100 years of history in the trade. This business is not something I stumbled into. My grandfather laid the foundation, my father carried it forward, and now I have spent over 37 years building on that legacy across Adelaide and greater South Australia.

For me, plastering is more than a job. It is about pride in the work. Every wall, every finish, every project we take on carries my name and I stand behind it completely. I built this business on consistency, honesty, and getting it done right the first time. No shortcuts, no guesswork. Just solid, reliable work delivered with care. I treat every job as if I were working on my own home and I expect that same standard from everyone on our team.

What drives me is the opportunity to keep our family tradition alive while delivering high quality results for the people of Adelaide. It is rewarding to drive around this city and see our work standing strong on homes, schools, and buildings. A reminder of the effort we put into every job. We are proud to work with respected builders and designers across the region including FDC, Woods Baggot, BADGE, Mossops, Cook, and Hansen Yuncken.

After all these years, what matters most is doing work that lasts. Clients might not remember how fast the job got done, but they always remember how well it holds up. That is the legacy I am proud to carry forward every day.

Professional Achievements

Was a Tafe SA lecturer – basically teaching trade school for teenagers in and out of school how to plaster.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Conrad Swart came highly recommended to restore the fretted archway of a heritage-listed building in Minlaton, and he did not disappoint. The project was thoroughly researched and well planned from the outset. His team were a pleasure to deal with—clear in communication, respectful of the site, and meticulous in their workmanship. Impressively, everything ran to schedule. One of the standout details was the careful removal, duplication, and replacement of the original lettering on the arch. At one point, I almost questioned the shape of the letter “S,” thinking it looked slightly off—but when I examined a photograph taken nearly 100 years ago, it was absolutely identical. That level of accuracy speaks volumes about Conrad’s commitment to heritage integrity. The work of his team is on display at the Minlaton Oval Heritage building.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I used Conrad 12 years ago for a Acratex job and solid render and it looks as good as the first day it was done. Well recommended.
